Stuck for hours in a difficult situation, Lieutenant-Colonel Cole will led his men in an incredible bayonet charge, which earning him the Medal of Honor for his gallantry. The town itself was ultimately liberated by elements the 506th PIR, including E Company, popularized in the famous HBO show “Band of Brothers”.
