Jesse Alexander is a public historian specialising in the history of the two world wars, in particular propaganda and memory. He is also the host of the Real Time History and The Great War Youtube channels, and World War Two documentaries 16 Days in Berlin and Rhineland 45.
Jesse has 20 years’ experience in public history in film-making, battlefield guiding, public speaking, museums, and research. He has worked with the Vimy Memorial, the Juno Beach Centre, the Canadian War Museum, Canada’s Cold War Museum, and the Canadian Museum of Civilization, Webster University, and the University of Vienna. He holds an MA in History from the University of Vienna, where he specialized in visual propaganda and Austria-Hungary in World War One.
Prof. Strohn is a specialist in the history of war in the 20th century, with special interest in the World Wars, the inter-war period, command and leadership, and the application of military history in the current military context. Matthias is the Head of Historical Analysis at the Centre for Historical Analysis and Conflict Research (CHACR) the strategic think-tank for the British Army. He has published widely in these fields, including writing and editing over 20 books and numerous articles.
Matthias is a keen battlefield studies guide and has led military and civilian tours in Europe from Madrid to Stalingrad. He has worked on television and radio as both historical adviser and interviewee. Matthias also has practical military experience; he holds a commission in the German Army and he served on overseas operational deployments.
